On Saturday 24 September Greenwich Churches Olympic Forum are hosting a training session for local churches. Rev'd Canon Duncan Green, who is the Church of England's Olympic Officer, will be leading and the session will inspire and enable churches to think about ways that they can use the Olympics as a focus for local events.
The session will be from 10am to 1pm and will be held at Christchurch Forum in East Greenwich. Further details will be available nearer the date on the www.churchgreenwich.org.uk.
Greenwich Churches Olympic Forum was set up by Greenwich Ecumenical Borough Deans to co-ordinate and support activities relating to the 2012 Olympics across the churches of Greenwich. It is chaired by the Rev'd Jeremy Fraser and employs a part-time enabler, Deborah Richards, both of whom may be contacted via the website www.churchgreenwich.org.uk.
