Several Church Leaders in Greenwich have expressed an interest in exploring the possibility of a Street Pastors Project operating in Greenwich. All of the surrounding boroughs already have such projects.
Before approaching the Ascension Trust, which co-ordinates Street Pastors Projects, it is necessary to gauge the interest from local churches. The success of a project depends on co-operation between the churches, the Police and the Local Authority. It would run with volunteers drawn from the local churches, with training from The Ascension Trust.
You, or your representative(s), are invited to a Lunch Meeting to discuss this issue. It will be held at
Woolwich Central Baptist Church,
Sandy Hill Road,
Woolwich
SE18 6SA
on Wednesday 11 June at 12 noon.
A light lunch will be provided.
